An Intimate Wedding Framed by the Hills and Charm of La Baronia

In September 2025, Sam and Jacob celebrated an intimate wedding in Spain, surrounded  by their closest friends and family at La Baronia, just 40 minutes from Barcelona. The estate centres around a historic manor house, set high above the valley and offers sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding hills, creating a wonderfully secluded and peaceful atmosphere. With its blend of rustic charm and classical elegance, the setting feels rich in character and history, which provided a perfect backdrop for Sam and Jacob’s intimate wedding day.

The day began with Sam’s bridal preparations at the venue itself, surrounded by close family and friends. She got dressed in a beautifully fitted lace wedding gown with a softly structured bodice and delicate floral detailing, completed by a long, sheer lace-trimmed veil that draped effortlessly behind her. She carried a softly cascading bouquet in blush, ivory, and muted mauve tones, featuring calla lilies and orchids, adding a pop of colour to her bridal outfit.  Meanwhile, Jacob got ready separately, carefully keeping the moment a surprise for their first look later in the day.

Once the guests arrived, they were guided to the ceremony terrace, set between the grand stone façade of the manor and views towards the surrounding hills and valley. The historic façade was beautifully covered in climbing vines in rich shades of green, with hints of warm amber and golden hues, adding depth and charm to the setting. Wooden garden chairs were arranged along the gravel terrace, their natural tones complementing the surrounding greenery, and stone walls, creating an atmosphere that felt organic, and effortlessly elegant. The aisle led toward a striking stone archway, dressed in cream-coloured draping, delicately knotted to create movement and texture against the stone. Beside the altar, a classic pedestal held a floral arrangement composed of soft green and blush-toned hydrangeas, forming a refined yet natural focal point that harmonised beautifully with the overall design.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to a cocktail hour on the beautiful terrace just beside the ceremony space. High and low tables were arranged throughout the area, where guests enjoyed refreshing drinks and delicious bites while taking in the views, with live music adding a lively and beautifully atmospheric energy to the terrace.

Once it was time, guests were invited up to the upper terrace in front of the manor’s entrance, where the reception awaited. A single long dinner table was paired with a round sweetheart table for the newlyweds, creating an intimate and thoughtfully composed layout. The tablescape featured a delicate mix of florals arranged in small glass vases and ceramic vessels with fuller arrangements, blending soft blush, peach, ivory, and gentle green tones. High and low blush-coloured candles were scattered throughout, adding depth and warmth, while the wooden chairs echoed the natural textures of the linen tablecloths and napkins. Overhead, strands of bulb lighting were hung across the terrace, and as the sun began to set, they cast a golden glow that enhanced the warm atmosphere of the evening.

Throughout the reception, a series of joyful and memorable moments filled the evening, from heartfelt speeches that brought laughter and emotion, to the cutting of the wedding cake. The cake itself was a charming, heart-shaped design in a soft butter-yellow tone, finished with delicate piped detailing. Also, a fun bouquet toss took place, with Sam sharing the moment with her friends, adding to the energy of the celebration.

The reception came to a beautiful close with the couple’s first dance in front of the manor’s façade, beneath the warm glow of the hanging bulb lights. As the celebration transitioned into the night, Sam surprised everyone with a fun dress change, swapping into a white, glittering dress that perfectly matched the lively party atmosphere. From there, guests moved to the poolside disco area, where dancing continued under the open sky, creating an unforgettable ending to the night.
