A Timeless Celebration in the Hills of Garraf

On May 24th, 2025, Rikke and Curran were married at Alcazar del Garraf, a secluded villa nestled in the green hills of Garraf National Park in Spain. Located just moments from the coastal town of Sitges, within easy reach of Barcelona.  The venue offers breathtaking views of green hills and the sea in the distance, creating a wonderfully serene setting which perfectly fit this celebration.

The ceremony took place in one of the villa’s picturesque gardens, accompanied by the music of a live string quartet that set a calm and atmospheric tone. Wooden and metal garden chairs, thoughtfully chosen to complement the setting, were arranged on the lawn beneath the trees, forming a graceful aisle that led toward a beautiful white gazebo. The gazebo was decorated with lush greenery and delicate white florals that perfectly complemented the bride’s bouquet. The florals were arranged to climb organically up the sides of the gazebo, creating a beautifully natural ceremony arch.  During the ceremony, the couple stood before this adorned gazebo, while the surrounding views of the green hills created a timeless and romantic backdrop for the guests to enjoy.

After the ceremony, guests were welcomed into a relaxed cocktail hour on one of the villa’s poolside terraces, where the villa opens gracefully onto the terrace through a series of beautiful arched walls. High tables were arranged along the terrace dressed in soft beige linens. The tables were styled with delicate glass vases filled with white florals that echoed the ceremony design and the bride’s bouquet, creating a beautifully cohesive aesthetic. As the couple and their guests enjoyed drinks and mingled, they were able to take in the beautiful views and amazing atmosphere.

Once the cocktail hour came to a close, guests were guided to the garden on the other side of the villa for the reception. Upon entering the garden, they were welcomed by a beautifully styled seating chart, adorned at its base with an arrangement of soft green and white florals. Beyond, round dining tables were thoughtfully arranged throughout the garden, paired with wooden cross-back chairs, while a larger rectangular top table was set to accommodate the couple and their family. Each table was dressed in neutral beige linens and styled with delicate white florals alongside a mix of low and tall white candles, creating a cohesive design that flowed effortlessly from the ceremony and cocktail hour into the evening. The place settings featured elegant menus topped with personalised name cards, each finished with a soft white fabric bow, while wooden-handled cutlery subtly echoed the tones of the chairs and linens.

Once guests were seated, Rikke & Curran were greeted by a sea of waving napkins and joyful cheers from their friends and family, setting a vibrant and celebratory tone for the evening ahead. As they enjoyed dinner and heartfelt speeches, a beautiful golden sunset unfolded beyond the towering palm trees surrounding the garden. As night fell, the soft glow of the string lights illuminated the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

As dinner came to a close, the energy was high and the celebration continued with an unforgettable evening of dancing. The disco took place on the upper pool terrace, extending naturally from the garden where the reception had taken place. With the dance floor illuminated by colourful lights and music filling the air, the bar was set against the villa’s beautiful stone walls, while Mediterranean orange trees framed the poolside setting, creating a truly cinematic atmosphere. Rikke and Curran opened the party with their first dance, followed by a live saxophone performance that kept the energy high and the dance floor full well into the night.
