Jessica & Andrew

Jessica and Andrew: A beautiful Jewish wedding in the Catalan farmlands

Jessica and Andrew celebrated their union in the awe-inspiring Masia Egara, a Catalan country house nestled in the North of Barcelona province. The historical nature landscapes surrounding the rustic farmhouse offered the perfect scenery to their summer wedding.

After preparing for their big celebration in one of Barcelona’s charming hotels, the groom arrived before the festivities to sign the Ketubah, the jewish wedding contract. Soon after, he and his bride solemnized their marriage in a heartfelt ceremony amidst the blooming gardens of Masia Egara. Throughout the ceremony, emotions rang high under the touching sounds of a string quartet, playing classical tones to the brides and groom’s entrance. The ceremony was commenced by a rabbi and traditionally held under the Chuppah, a jewish wedding canopy. The Chuppah represents Jessica and Andrew’s new home, established through their marriage, and was decorated with light textiles and palette flowers that sparked a gentle romantic flair.

As the traditional ‘Mazel tov’ echoed through the air, the newly-wed couple exited their ceremony cheerfully and the guests transitioned to a delightful aperitivo on the houses’ traditional Catalan terrace. The highlight of the aperitivo was the serving of Caviar, eaten in a traditional manner from the back of the hand.

After each guest found their seat on their personal fragrant candle, the wedding party slowly ushered to the dinner reception. For Jessica and Andrew, the dinner set-up was held under the cooling shadows of Masia Egara’s majestic trees. A long tablescape combined vibrant pastel colors in blue, rose, lavender and beige that harmoniously presented a light romantic ambiance under the evening sky.

The dinner was intentionally arranged in the wider garden space that presented an open area for the after-dinner events in a circle of beautiful colorful florals. Here, the couple and their guests enjoyed a joyful wedding evening filled with laughter, speeches, dances and jewish traditions, such as the Hora or the blessing of the Challa bread.

For dessert, Jessica and Andrew presented a very special wedding cake that perfectly reflected the wedding theme and the garden venue in its floral design. Under the joyful cheers of their family and friends, the bride and groom cut the cake and commenced to their first dance as a married couple.

As the night sky darkened, the guests were led to the grand finale under the soulful sounds of a jazzy saxophone player – a fun disco hosted inside the imperial halls of Masia Egara. The night unfolded into an exuberant celebration full of energy, excitement and cheerfulness as the couple and their guests danced the night away.

Jessica and Andrew’s wedding was a truly touching day. The couple united a symphony of joy, tradition and love in their celebration that sparkled cherished laughter at every moment.
