A Timeless Celebration of Artful Design and Meaningful Tradition

On the 4th of July 2025, Jennifer and Greg celebrated their destination wedding at Bell Recó, a modernist estate just outside Barcelona, Spain. The celebration blended Jewish and Chinese traditions across a thoughtfully designed, multi-day experience.

The celebrations began the day before the wedding with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony held in one of the beautiful suites at The Barcelona EDITION. Shared with the couple’s closest family and friends, the intimate ritual was accompanied by a striking cake in deep red tones, finished with sculptural floral detailing. That evening, the festivities continued with a rooftop party at the hotel, where guests gathered to enjoy the beautiful city views, live music, and delicious drinks and bites, marking a joyful start to the wedding celebrations.

On the wedding day, the couple got ready separately within the venue’s elegant modernist manor house. Before guests arrived, they shared a private first look beneath a stone arcade overlooking the gardens, framed by hand-painted walls and historic arches. The setting created a quietly dramatic and intimate backdrop for this meaningful moment.

The ceremony unfolded on the lower terrace of the estate, surrounded by lush greenery. Clear chairs lined either side of the stone aisle, their transparency keeping the focus on the natural setting and allowing the landscape to frame the moment. Low, organic floral arrangements were placed along the aisle, with clusters of greenery and white blooms appearing to grow naturally from the ground and guiding the eye toward the chuppah. Beneath the towering trees, the chuppah was formed from a custom structure entirely covered in soft green moss, creating a beautifully natural focal point that felt seamlessly integrated into the surroundings, and gently draped to complete its form. Jennifer made a truly beautiful entrance, walking down the grand stone steps with her parents, followed by three bridesmaids carrying her veil. The scene felt serene and emotional, with rich greenery and thoughtful details creating an atmosphere that was elegant and deeply connected to nature.

After the ceremony, guests gathered on the upper terrace in front of the manor’s façade for cocktail hour. The space was styled with low, round tables dressed in soft-toned linens and paired with natural rattan chairs, their warm textures echoing the surrounding greenery and the sun-washed colours of the building itself. Sculptural high tables were wrapped in hand-painted cloths and topped with arrangements of flowers and seasonal fruit in warm, earthy hues. One buffet table featured an abundant display of tomatoes, adding a playful, organic detail. A lively band provided music as guests mingled and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

Positioned between the cocktail hour and dinner, the seating plan was displayed on a round table draped in a hand-painted cloth that echoed the design found at the cocktail hour. Single-stem florals were arranged along the surface, moving naturally in the breeze and creating a lively, artful moment that seamlessly tied into the overall design.

Before guests took their seats, everyone gathered for the horah, with the newlyweds lifted into the air as guests joined in the dancing. Afterward, guests took their seats at two long tables styled in the same natural palette as the cocktail hour, creating a seamless flow from one moment to the next. As dusk settled, sculptural lighting cast a warm glow across the tables, while hand-painted place cards featuring each guest’s name echoed the artwork seen earlier in the day. Soft florals and carefully arranged fruit ran down the tables in organic, circular forms, adding sculptural movement and refined elegance. Towards the end of dinner, the couple shared a memorable cake-cutting moment as a wall of sparkling fountains lit up behind them, creating a spectacular Fourth of July–inspired highlight.

The night concluded with a lively celebration inside the manor, where the newlyweds made a fun entrance alongside mirrored disco performers. With a quick outfit change setting the tone, the dance floor came alive, closing the wedding on a joyful and unforgettable note.
