Emma & Daniil

From Barcelona to the Costa Brava: Emma and Daniil´s Mediterranean Dream Wedding

In May 2024, Emma and Daniil invited their closest family and friends to Spain for a destination wedding defined by sunshine and sea views. Their celebration unfolded across two iconic locations, beginning in the vibrant heart of Barcelona and concluding along the dramatic cliffs of the Costa Brava, creating a seamless blend of city energy and coastal romance.

The pre-wedding took place on the beautiful rooftop of the Sir Victor Hotel. Overlooking the architectural masterpiece of Casa Milà by Antoni Gaudí, the guests were treated to breathtaking city views, glowing sunset skies, and a relaxed, elegant atmosphere. With Mediterranean-inspired bites and flowing drinks, friends and family gathered to toast to the days ahead, setting a warm and celebratory tone for everything still to come.

On the morning of the wedding, Emma got ready at the elegant El Palauet, surrounded by her father, her sister, and her closest girlfriends. The suite buzzed with quiet excitement as the final touches came together.

From the city, the celebration moved to the Costa Brava coast for the ceremony and reception at the breathtaking Convent de Blanes. A historic former convent set high above the Mediterranean that offers wide views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. Before the guest arrived, Emma and Daniil shared a private first look on a balcony overlooking the water for a beautifully intimate moment together.

On arrival the guests were welcomed with drinks on the terrace before moving down towards the ceremony. The setting was nothing sort of cinematic. A sandy aisle led towards the open Mediterranean horizon, framed by rows of cube-shaped white chairs that gave the setting a clean, contemporary feel. Soft compositions of airy yellow wildflowers lined the path and gathered at the altar, adding movement and warmth without distracting from the simplicity of the design. Set against warm stone walls and sculptural pine trees, the space felt distinctly Mediterranean-natural, understated, and effortlessly refined.

After the ceremony the aperitif unfolded on the sea-facing terrace of the Convent with catering by the renowned Jubany. The styling embraced a fresh Mediterranean palette of deep blue, soft white, natural wood, and vibrant citrus tones. White cocktail tables with bold blue trim were set across the wooden deck, paired with classic bentwood chairs. Bright yellow florals and fresh lemons added warmth and contrast throughout the space. A live music trio performed against the backdrop of the open sea, creating a relaxed yet refined atmosphere as guests mingled, sipped cocktails, and enjoyed delicious bites in the golden afternoon light.

For the dinner long banquet tables were set beneath textured stone walls, dressed in crisp white linens and lined with warm wooden chairs that carried a relaxed, cohesive feel through the space. The design continued the Mediterranean coastal palette with bold blue-and-white tiled runners, yellow florals, and layered piles of fresh lemons running down the center of each table, adding colour and a distinctly Mediterranean note. At each place setting, sculpted butter molded into delicate fish and shell shapes rested on white plates with blue-rimmed edges, paired with rustic, golden-brown twisted bread for a unique and artisanal touch. Gentle candlelight glowed across the space, and the overall effect felt warm, vibrant, and effortlessly elegant. Perfect for a Mediterranean evening of shared food, conversation, and celebration.

As the sun had set and the last courses were cleared, the celebration moved from dinner to the dance floor. Music and celebration filled the evening air as Emma and Daniil took to the floor alongside their friends and family. An unforgettable close to a wedding shaped by elegance, warmth, and the unmistakable spirit of the Mediterranean.
