Sunlit Cliffs & Seaside Vows: Ella & Liam’s Destination Wedding

In August of 2024, Ella and Liam began their wedding day in Spain at the beautiful Santa Marta Hotel, each getting ready surrounded by their closest friends. From the hotel, they travelled separately to the historic Convent de Blanes for a private first look. Standing together on the venue’s iconic balcony, with the sea stretching beneath them and the rugged coastline framing the view, they shared a calm and intimate moment before all the celebrations began.

Once guests arrived at the Convent, they were welcomed with drinks on the terrace overlooking the harbour of Blanes. With sweeping views of the coastline, its beaches and sailboats, the atmosphere felt relaxed and inviting. When it was time for the ceremony, guests made their way down to the lower terrace, where the setting opened onto an uninterrupted view of the sea. A soft sandy aisle led to a sculptural floral installation of white stands topped with airy, textured arrangements in tones of ivory, muted peach and pale beige, framing the couple as they exchanged their vows. Wooden chairs were arranged in a gentle arc facing the water, set against terracotta stone walls and sculptural pine trees. The overall feeling was refined and effortlessly Mediterranean.

Following the ceremony, the aperitif took place beneath a canopy of pine trees. Soft linens, muted tones and subtle white florals shaped an effortless, contemporary atmosphere that blended seamlessly with the landscape. The mood was relaxed yet lively, with guests enjoying a steady flow of beautifully prepared bites and drinks as they mingled across the terrace. Whilst strings of warm lights created a gentle glow as the afternoon eased into evening.

The dinner was held inside the stone halls of the Convent, where textured walls and warm architectural lighting created a naturally dramatic backdrop. A single long table, dressed in soft white linens, stretched through the space, offering a clean and contemporary contrast to the historic setting. Clusters of white and peach-toned florals introduced soft colour and texture, while tall glass candles cast a warm glow that reflected beautifully across the table. The palette felt cohesive with the building itself, neutral, textural and quietly elevated. As guests took their seats along the length of the table, the room settled into an intimate and lively energy. Throughout the evening, heartfelt speeches were shared that brought moments of laughter and emotion.

As dinner drew to a close, Ella and Liam opened the night with their first dance, set beneath vibrant, atmospheric lighting that set the tone for the celebration. Shortly after, Ella changed into a playful fringe dress, perfectly suited to the energy that followed. The dance floor quickly filled as the night unfolded with music, movement and joy. An effortless and spirited ending to a beautiful day.
